1. Recognize the difference between periorbital and orbital cellulitis on the basis of history and physical examination findings. 2. Describe the cause, pathophysiology, and management of periorbital and orbital cellulitis. 3. Understand the importance of sinus disease in both periorbital and orbital cellulitis. 4. Know the indications for computed tomography scan and specialist consultation for eyelid swelling. 5. Recognize the complications of periorbital and orbital cellulitis.
